The Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval is a natural alpine mountain circus, the largest in the Alps. A huge limestone amphitheatre ranging from 4 to 5 kilometers, whose steep cliffs can reach 500 to 700 meters height. The summits are "the Pic de Tenneverge" (2985 m), "the Cheval blanc" (2831 m) and "the Grenier de commune" (2775 m). In June, more than 30 of fairly impressive waterfalls gush from its steep cliffs. The waterfall of the Rouget deserves its nickname of "Queen of the Alps", she gushes in two jumps on 90 meters height.
